Introducing the Purple Grandma Scholarship Program

Named in loving memory of Debbie, the beloved mother of our artistic director, this scholarship program is a heartfelt tribute to a woman who embodied the essence of unwavering support, passion for music, and a deep love for the color purple.

Debbie, affectionately known as "Purple Grandma," was more than just a parent to her children; she was an ardent enthusiast of the arts. Sadly, in 2023, Debbie's journey was tragically cut short by pancreatic cancer, leaving a void that can never be filled.

Debbie's legacy, however, lives on through the Purple Grandma Scholarship Program. This initiative seeks to honor her memory by providing support and encouragement to young and aspiring musicians. It is an opportunity to pay forward the love and support she offered to her own children, extending it to the wider musical community.
