Choir Policies
Attendance:
Choir members are expected to be on time for every rehearsal. We will need the entire time to get through the material being taught, so plan to be on time and be ready to sing. Please also be prompt in picking up your child after rehearsal. If for some reason your child will be unable to attend a rehearsal, please email Laura Talbert in advance at talbert.delaura@gmail.com
Practice:
All singers need to practice their music outside of choir rehearsals in order to be prepared for performances.
Behaviour:
All members of the choir will be expected to behave respectfully to the choir directors, each other and the library facilities. For children, please let us know in advance if there is any way that we can help your child with this during choir rehearsals.
Observing Rehearsals:
We will send out dates when parents can come observe choir rehearsals closer to the start of the semester. Outside of that, parents are welcome to remain in the library building during rehearsals (as long as the library is open), or return at the end of rehearsal to pick up your child.
Registration:
Each group has a cap on enrollment, so registration will be first come, first served. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Photos:
We will periodically have a photographer come into rehearsals to take pictures for promotion and social media.
